Dream of an Eight-Year-Old Boy

This image shows one technique I've been working on lately--rendering photographs by using a wavy, dreamy pattern (my Caramel Popcorn and Crosshatch formulas) to represent brightness levels of red, green, and blue. The subject photograph here is a NASA shot from Apollo 11, of Buzz Aldrin and the American Flag. He and Neil Armstrong landed on the moon when I was 8--it was my dream for all of my youth to be an astronaut.
