Fractal Gallery

I've always dreamed of seeing my fractals in an art gallery. Finally managed to do something about it. Sure the gallery is virtual and the audience is basically made of metal, but its a start.

The really large version can bee seen at the preceding link.

The actual graphic was produced using blender (its powerful, open source and totally free). Fractals on the walls were originally made in Apophysis.

That's pretty cool. Virtual is pretty real to me. And a solid metal audience of stick people might be a real improvement. You could even use magnets to keep them away from the artwork.

I've always thought that the presentation of artwork was an important part of the experience and the digital medium has a real advantage over the non-virtual one in this area. And I don't mean the rotating java applet cubes.

I'm a little concerned about the floor, though. It looks slippery. Could be a potential lawsuit waiting to happen...

Thanks for your comment :) You may be right about the floor. This gallery is a high class place - they polished the floor to within an inch of its life.
