Sea Spirals
I know that a lot of people "out there" enjoy a good spiral. These "Nautilus" images are dedicated to them.
Dawn Nautilus
Glass Nautilus
Of course if spirals are not your thing, there are plenty "spiral free" wallpaper images available over at my personal blog.

Hey, I'm not completely 'anti spiral' - all I was really saying in the post about spirals was pointing out the math that tends to lead to them and suggesting some ways to get other forms. I like these ones - they seem well-suited to be desktop backgrounds, where you want something fairly soothing.
See what you think of these:
precambrian
vortex

Thomas, thanks for the heads up! I've fixed the link.
Albert, both of your images are beautiful. Thanks for sharing the link. You are right about the Maths naturally leading to spirals :)

if you use a fractal iteration of the form
z -> z*w
where 0 < |w| < 1 and arg(w) != 0, you get spirals :) comes naturally from de moivre's law.
